Now, on to the business at hand. Interesting that Watt would encourage reading Toynbee's A Study of Civilzation as Toynbee was Director of Studies at the Royal Institute of International Affairs from 1925-1955. Was Toynbee "spilling the beans" like Quigley or was he providing the elite's "approved" version of world history?
Oops --- should be A Study of History.
